I just made my image a lot wider than usual. With that dingbat, I made the image 800px wide and high enough to accommodate the vertical spikes. The vertical spikes aren't as long as the horizontal ones. It's not that there's a formula for image size unless Graechan isn't telling us something.

I used Script-Fu > Alpha to Logo > Impact for it, and did the dingbat in the image before running the script.

All I can say is think big when starting a new image. You can always crop later.

Graechan because the logo script creates it's own image according to type size, is there a way to add another interface feature such as selection of bigger image background. Then it wouldn't cut off the image.

I just did one to try to see how much larger the image became.
Started with text in a new image - 640 x 480

I autocropped the text layer and the layer boundaries were 547x156

I added enough canvas to make the image 1000 x 500

Ran the script and autocropped the Impact layer and it was 900 x 388.

I think you can add canvas twice the width of the original text and maybe 3 x the height. You'd have leftover space to crop but at least the results would fit in the image without chopping off the spikes.

'O' I've had a thought, if I add a use 'Active Gradient' option would this assist Linux users

Butterfly is terrific MareroQ. How many scripts did you use? I can see at least 2.

I tried the experimental one you sent me. I chose use the active gradient in the dropdown and it worked.

Looks terrific 'O', did you need to use the "Active Gradient" setting or did the "Blend Gradient" work

Also was the larger canvas size on logo script big enough

I used the Active gradient. The blend gradient works with the default gradient. When I changed the blend gradient, gimp crashed.
