I think it must have been updated 2 days ago. :)
I remember when this plugin came out for RC and Gimp-2.6.
Now it works for Gimp-2.8.4!

This filter actually draws the arrows on canvas with 2 nodes as you create it.

Rod thank you heaps for the heads up on this, it has totally blown me away how well it functions once you come to grips with the simple instructions at the top of the plugin menu :yes

One of the first 2 links in my favorites is the registry. What would be nice is if when someone updates their scripts it would show on the home page. That way you wouldn't miss the update.
I got so used to being a mod here i am just sorta that way (watchdog) lol

I've tried it and it's really nice. The first thing I did was move it from a new item on my Image window menu and move it into Script-Fu. I have this thing about having Image menu items added to mine. :2thd Thinking about dumping all of my arrow brushes. First, need to get more used to using it. I like that it makes a new layer for each arrow.

Hi,

I've been having troubles with the arrowcreator plugin. I downloaded the plugin and installed it in the correct folder. I then restarted GIMP and could see GIMP querying the new plugin, however when GIMP opened I could not find the plugin. I checked in the plug-in browser but could not find it there. I am using Windows 7 and Gimp 2.8 . Any suggestions?

Thanks!

When you first opened Gimp after installing Arrow Creator 2.0 you should have seen a dialog box similar to this (I'm Linux) to pick a menu.
Image

If you hit OK Arrow Creator default menu location is,
Extensions | Plugins-Python | Tools
Image

In /.gimp-2.8/plug-ins/ you'll find the directory 'ArrowsCreator-0.2' inside is the file, 'menu_path'.
Open 'menu_path' with a text editor to change the menu location in Gimp.

Nice and interesting tool. :)

However, as many of you might have noticed, the only problem encountered with this and any other Python plugin featuring a graphical interface based upon the pygtk module is that the relevant dialog window does not store the last used settings between consecutive runs of the filter.

I wonder if anyone knows any methods or source code manipulations which allow such type of plugins to automatically retrieve the settings defined in the last execution, just like the default Python GUI module provided by GIMP does.
