Sorry I haven't been here much, a lot has happened, 4 of our rats died, and one of our gentlest ferrets, Clyde also died. My wife has been having neurological issues since July of last year that's been completely messing up our lives. Plus our internet at home is busted until I can get the parts Friday. But I didn't post this to whine.
I collect old books, I have a few from the 1700s, some of which have neat lineart
Images in them. I scanned a lot of them, also had some found online. While my internet is down I busied myself by converting them into Gimp brushes. The file is too big to post here so like my frames recently I put them on My Domain
I included a few examples in this post. I'll leave them there for a month or so, so call now, operators standing by.

Very cool, Gms9810!
I'm an old book hound myself, it's amazing some of the stuff you come across.

I always appreciate a nice set of brushes. You've outdone yourself again here.

Sorry to hear your life has been dishing it to you so hard. Hope your wife gets better soon.

gms9810: so sorry to hear about your hard times, brother! really hope life will be easier on you in the future. but the brushes are lovely, thanks for sharing :)! and collecting old books is definitely a hobby i would have if i had room for another hobby in my life - i love everything about old books and i still dream of a book on ornamentics that i found in a bookshelf somewhere when i was nineteen. it was printed in the 1870s and had lovely pictures with examples of ornaments from all through history, all over the world.
