Smart Deblur Filter?

I wonder if something like this http://smartdeblur.net/examples.html also could be possible with G'Mic...?
As stated here http://smartdeblur.net/index.html it is based on "Blind Deconvolution" technique - whatever that means (I'm really not into mathematics) ... :\

G'MIC can do convolution, so it could correct blurry photos if you could give it the 'blur function' (that's the squiggly line in the black box next to the examples in your link). The tricky part is automatically determining what the blur function is from an image. I don't know if G'MIC can do that.

It would be nice. But "not any shining material is gold", as we say! The examples are impressive, but I just downloaded it and tried to apply it on one of my blurred images and I got bad results; also, it has no undo and seems to work only with automatic detection, if I choose a specific blur type it gives chaotic results.
So, I rely on gimp developers to get a better implementation. Who knows...

I've been using SD since version 1.27 (no auto-detection) and it gives very good results if you id the type of image blur correctly.
For the motion blur I'd use gimp Measurement tool to define correct angle and length of the motion blur. Start with the small Kernel size.

The problem of deblurring in general is very complex, that's why we don't see a lot of alternatives out there.
GIMP team expressed desire to include it in gimp but doesn't have a qualified specialist to improve it. Even as it is SD needs to be re-written
from C++ to C and ported to GEGL.
3rd party Refocus plugin for gimp seems to work only on out of focus pictures and yields far worse results.
