I have this image of rust that I downloaded a while back and the more I looked at it a picture seemed to emerge from it. I could see a swampy area in the left foreground, and some light shades that looked like water, then through mid foreground to background I could see trees with yellow light spilling through. This is the rust image.

This is what I came up with by sitting back 3 feet from the screen trying to pick out an image.
If anyone is interested, feel free to download the rust to see what you can create with this image. It is fun.

That is very imaginative. I might have to stretch mine to its limits to be that creative. I'll give it a try.

That's so cool, molly. I don't have the drawing skills (yet) to pull an image like that out of the subtle patterns, but sometimes I'll take an image and run it through some filters to see if anything interesting shows up. I guess some would call me a "filter monkey", but I think I've got some neat stuff that way.

I guess our minds are always trying to find meaningful patterns in randomness. We look at clouds and see animals, our ancestors looked at the night sky and saw their mythology depicted, and there's always the man or woman in the moon.
