Nice; well done Rod. Apply a da Vinci paper texture and it would look like it came from the master himself. :)

Thanks folks.
It was pretty easy to do.Here are the steps.
Open Beautify>Art>Classic Sketch
Set red to 16 and yellow to -13
Then i saved it out of Beautify and opened it in G'MIC.
Black and White>Hard Sketch
[G'MIC] Hard sketch-Pencil_RD : -gimp_hardsketchbw 196,37,0.76,0.3,8.,0,0,0 (a new layer from the active one)
Adjust contrast to what you like.I put contrast up very little and darkened very little.I can't remember the brightness / contrast settings.
Now set the hard sketch layer on top and mode to Screen, and 100% opacity
Create another transparent layer between the top(hard sketch layer), and the bottom (Beautify layer).
Apply a copper type of linear gradient top left to bottom right.
Set that gradient layer to Overlay Mode, and 100% opacity.
Screenshot of layers.

That's it.

Here it is with a Davinci type backdrop. Thanks Lyle for that inspiration.Too lazy to make in Gimp so i grabbed it here.

bg texture is second layer from top set to Multiply Mode.I kept opacity at 100.

You need Beautify plugin and G'MIC to get the effect.

Beautify for Windows and how to install here - viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4811
G'MIC here - http://gmic.sourceforge.net/gimp.shtml

Don't forget you can add a new sub folder inside of rip-border, texture-border, and simple-border folders.Name the new folder "custom" , and it will be a place to store all your own textures within Beautify. That is to say, the new custom folder will show in it's own tab in Beautify interfaces. ;)
I should probably update these again.I do not know if there has been a new GIT commit master yet but i have re-downloaded the latest src and compiled it for Windows 32 bit.I will update the downloads soon.
Also now that i have Gimp-2.6 installed and working beside Gimp-2.8 i can compile for Gimp-2.6 also. :)

The settings inside the [GMIC] tag i posted.
hardsketchbw 196,37,0.76,0.3,8.,0,0,0 (the last three values of 0,0,0 means no change or default)

I should have just posted an image as Sam did.
