Could be a cafe tabletop, a serving tray, with light shining through it could be stained glass. Looks like you had fun, Odin

I like playing around with filters. Just to see what they do. Also, to remind me what some do. :lol

I think if you had a gradient overlay going from black in the centre to white on the outside it would feel as though you were looking down a deep well, thats I what I'm seeing anyways. nice work.

That's nice Odin. It's surprising what can suddenly turn up when you're just messing around.

That's a neat looking thing, Odin!
Do you remember the sequence to reproduce it?

I don't remember the sequence, I was just making sure my PSPI filters were working and one thing led to another.

It was roughly this.
512 x 512, red background
Richard Rosenman, Box Fitting filter
Duplicate layer
Redfield's, Bas-relief filter
Bump map
Sphere
G'MIC Symmetrizoscope
Background layer, Wood 1? gradient, radial
Alpha select sphere layer, shrink selection, select gradient layer, clear, stroke.
Drag background above sphere layer.

Some of the coolest things I've made were the result of just starting gimp, blank page and fooling around. Those were also the most fun because since I didn't have a purpose I couldn't make a mistake.

I thought i saw some Richard Rosenman in there. :)
I wish we could duplicate that box fitting effect in G'MIC.
