this paisley picture is a spin off of many different projects: the background comes from trying to make soap bubbles esper style and while i still haven't got the right look of the bubbles i loved the g'miced plasma cloud. the paisleys themselves are partly from an experiment on making bevels with many different kinds of highlights and partly from the illuminations tutorial on gsl. the whole picture is the kind of wallpaper you want to make when a migraine is gone.

Wow, beautiful AnMal! :clap The paisleys look like some sort of sea animals in a very colorful sea with the sun shining through the water!

baukjespirit: thank you :)! yeah, there's definitely water in this somewhere, and sunlight filtered in water.

Wow!. I got a similar vibe. Almost like the ancient Nautilus, spawning in the primordial seas of life!
Another 'keeper' AnMal. :bigthup

the whole perspective and the lighting works extremely well

its like paisleys swimming in hyperspace, while at the same time you get the view with various levels of detail
on to and into the paisleys

this is one of the best pieces i've ever seen from you in terms of overall perfection !

i guess some of the highlights are done with this specularbumps filer and the others with the Relief Light ?!

I really like the
the shift in colors. I'm reminded of under the sea, too.

mokonafan: yay! you're here! :jumpclap thank you, i think of both water and glass as well. the bevels were no problem at all here, just different filters applied this way and that and there they were :).
