Thanks for the comments, came across this site which has been an inspiration, so have been trying to make the bubble reflection the focus of the image rather than the background, hard to get the manipulation of the image thought.

Thanks for the lovely comments, been really studying the photo in the link I provided previously and think I may have managed to acheive the effect, to the point I'm almost happy with, might move the specular highlight round a bit but thats about all.

he4rty: wow, some gimp wizardry

! i like all the bubbles, they look so smooth and shiny. i miss some transparency, though - they look a bit more like big metal spheres than light and airy bubbles.
