Found a use for the weave filter.

After running weave I selected only the woven parts, put a silver gradient (which I probably didn't need) on it and run the 'rusted script'.
Can be used for part of an old fence or similar.

Sallyanne was that done using Gmic's weave filter or Gimps weave

G'MIC's weave. It Probably could have been done with Gimp's, but it was easier because G'MIC had a preview and I could see when it was approx the right size.
