HATCH PATTERN DOCS

These hatch patterns were created in Inkscape. The .svg file is included.

The size as created gives a small (fine) pattern. For larger sizes scaling is best done in Inkscape.

INKSCAPE INSTRUCTIONS
Most (but not all) patterns fit into 120px x 120px document/canvas. For these patterns do the scaling as follows:
In the Export dialogue set the Export Area as PAGE.
Double the width from 120 to 240 (or other size of choice). The height changes automatically.
Export to a destination and file name of choice.

Some patterns (eg patterns 259, 270, 280, 309, 426, 427) do NOT fit into 120px x 120px document/canvas. For these patterns do the scaling as follows:
In the Export dialogue set the Export Area as DRAWING (not Page).
Double the width (eg from 120 to 240 - or other size of choice). The height changes automatically.
Export to a destination and file name of choice.

GIMP INSTRUCTIONS
Many patterns can be rotated 90 degrees or 180 degrees. Use a clipboard pattern, or export with a new name.

Many new patterns can be created by combining these patterns.
One way is to duplicate a pattern layer. Rotate one layer 90 degrees.
A second way is to combine two different patterns. Open the patterns as layers. Optionally rotate one pattern 90 degrees.
A third way is to duplicate a layer. Move one layer a small amount right and down.
See MixAndMatch.png for examples.
