What is inside

This is a collection of extra filters for the Mathmap Gimp plugin
 ( main side http://www.complang.tuwien.ac.at/schani/mathmap/
  for last news: http://groups.google.com/group/mathmap )

Most important

1)The Update_compositing_mmc folder

contain codes from Mark Probst, the Mathmap
developer that are already included in the last alpha version for Windows, but
not yet in the less recent Linux binary

Basically they allow to change the opacity of the layer modes used
( Extra_Blur_mmc folder also contain a filter again from Mark Probst that for the
same reason is not yet included in the linux version )

The other folders contain other codes from several authors collected from the
Flickr and the Google mathmap groups, and a few from Gimptalk and other forum

Reading the commented part of the codes (as example from the Mathmap "expression"
tab or opening the file with a text ediitor )you will find author name and ,
usually, information on how to use it

For the rest

 Extra_Animation

contain a series of filter that may create animations.
 Please note
 1) they may be also used to create still, just avoiding to check
the "animation" box in the mathmap setting tab
2)Not all but several other filters in the Distort and Map and Time submenus
  support animation

Extra_Map

More map filter by various authors
As usual in the commented line at benning of the code there are indication of
the purpose and tips for using

you may found codes for several kind of projections, a simplificated version
of the droste code, and others to edit equirectangualar images

I suggest to visit also the Seb blog where several of those scripts are presented
with suggestion for their use..as here
http://theseblog.free.fr/2007/09/multiplane-perspective-in-mathmap.php

Extra_Map_Panini

Most are from Tom Sharpless you may check his side http://tksharpless.net for
updated version
About the characterestic of "Panini projection " see here
 http://tksharpless.net/PanoPerspective/Vedutismo.html" more material in the
  "Panini" Google and Flickr Groups

Extra Render

As the name said ...render filters

Extra Time

Based oon the "t" ,Time function , often used in mathmap to create animation

Extra_Unsorted

Title is self explicative

Only Linux

Well not really only for linux, but for a still unsolved bug related to the use
of "rad" they will not work with last Windows version of Mathmap
Anyway they are compatible

For a still unsolved bug in the last windows version this work only on Linux
(or in the previous 1.2.x windows version of mathmap)
