Yours too is very nice; IMO it needs more contrast.

You're right, Diego.
I adjusted my first outcome and post the Black & White as well.

Now, the coloured one is OK to me.
Having posted also the B&W we can see the problem which caused you to increase the contrast at the end:
- the stroke density in the B&W step is not adequately different for the various areas
When you use the threshold on the linear motion blur try using different values (at your taste) to distinguish among: dark area, intermediate areas, light area.
Sooner or later we will have a new tut posted by Issabella on this "variation" of the ink-pen technique. She writes "readable" tuts, not like me....hehehe

Diego, now I think I understand what you tried to explain earlier.
The contrast between the different striped layers on the black & white outcome is too little because of the same threshold.

With a next attempt I'll pay attention to that.
Thanks for the tips.

Diego, with your tips in mind, a new outcome.
Here I like the colors to be a little pale.

Ella, I like both versions, the pale one is more "Ella's" style, the strong one more "Diego's" style
(and you also paid attention to have horizontal strokes for the water…).
Pat, also your standard ink-pen 3 areas looks good.
