Having posted also the B&W we can see the problem which caused you to increase the contrast at the end:
- the stroke density in the B&W step is not adequately different for the various areas
When you use the threshold on the linear motion blur try using different values (at your taste) to distinguish among: dark area, intermediate areas, light area.
Sooner or later we will have a new tut posted by Issabella on this "variation" of the ink-pen technique. She writes "readable" tuts, not like me....hehehe
Diego, now I think I understand what you tried to explain earlier.
The contrast between the different striped layers on the black & white outcome is too little because of the same threshold.
With a next attempt I'll pay attention to that.
