I had time to do my first of this "golden" method. I love this effect! Thank you again, Dinasset for your time and effort to design this method, and for sharing it with us. Issabella, you did a very good tutorial.

Made my own variation of the tutorial, but can't remember the steps...

Wow those clouds look almost like nuggets Pat. Windmill looks awesome Ella, your image looks like thick layer of gold paste, yum!

I wasn't particularly pleased with my first run, so I hired a retriever to help.
You know they have better sense and love to dig.
Used GEGL emboss because it has angle setting, to get wavy look for the water like the fur.



Different variation, colour is bit off to bronze.

I also had several outcomes I didn't like
Then I started to play and liked the look of the "gold paste".

And you found a golden retriever to help
I like your statue too.




Issabella, I didn't use noise nor emboss on this outcome.
I played with the layers and used a bump map with a desaturated windmill layer.
Then I used the gold pattern and I liked the shine on the water.
That's why I left it like this.
Don't remember all the steps exactly.
