Thanks for all the input in the other thread here is the design so far, I wanted to improve the water side of the design so I used ekk22's air bubble tutorial to make the water droplets look better, also worked a little bit on improving the fire.



Tried before to bump the water but it just didn't look right, but I have lightened the front bubbles and applied a very subbtle drop shadow also yellowed the flame more and trimmed it so that it flow more with the water size and shape, Also have enhanced the text and given that a drop shadow as well displaced to the image. Thanks for the feed back and hope you like the second version.

I think it looks very nice! I'm not exactly sure where fire comes in when being baptized unless you are referring to the other baptism as well...

Artistically, I think it's very well done! Nice work!

As the card is for a believers baptism I was thinking along the lines of both baptisms.

I'll try to be gentle. The water side needs more definition. Subtle drop shadows for the bubbles. And maybe bumpmap the water stream to give it more texture. Not much. Just a tiny bit. The fire could benefit from some more yellowish white highlights as well. As far as the text goes, I like the font and placement. I like the reversal of colors to make it stand out. I would like to see it darkened overall a bit to make the highlights on it stand out more for a shinier effect. All in all though, I like your design choice and the symmetry of it definitely conveys what you're trying to tell the viewer. Good job.

Second version is better, yes. It has a lot more depth to it. The added details let it pop. Sorry the bumpmapping didn't work on this piece, I often find it does for rough and uneven textures that aren't supposed to be jagged. It's kind of hit and miss though, what will work for me, might not do for you.

I definitely like #2 the best. It has more pop.
The only thing I would like to see, since the right side is supposed to be fire, then maybe there should be a bit of an aura around it and maybe a few more live sparks, or drag a bit of the fire up with the smudge brush. I like congui's mention of a bit of a drop shadow on the text to give it a bit of depth. Super well done.

Text is really nice He4rty. I can't pick from the two. Thought you meant both baptisms . I agree with molly re the fire.

Thanks for the comments, I'll touch on the fire, the idea is that it is being blasted towards the water so I don't think adding anything other than maybe a motion blur to try and give an impression of direction would work in my opinion.

I like the way it looks like a Sword of the Lord.
And God is an eternal flame, a life saving drink, our bread to eat, and an everlasting evergreen. So the image conveys to me Gods Word, image, strength, and willingness to forgive His children.
Looks excellent to me.

I just see something that stands out in the big water drops/bubbles. They look somewhat flat, as was a puddle of water/mercury on a flat surface. I guess they should be more spherical. Maybe look better if you remove the big drops and left alone the small drops.

But that really is something minimal. I love that card! I really like those letters and colors chosen!
