Found a cool way to create this look using G'MIC B&W Hard Sketch and a lot of layer blending, but still, only takes a few minutes to do.

There is a nice little utility that does embroidery really well, fortunately it works very well with inkscape it's called DRAWWings Embroidery effects, sadly i got s 404 when I tried to get the link, hopefully it's temporary.

Drawigs embroidery is free, i forgot to mention that. It's funny about what formats it works with but it works perfectly with inkscape.

No, the version I have is freeware. I'm about 80 miles south of St louis, if you're familiar with that area. Before I retired I worked for the MSU system, I worked at UMSL.
