Play around with brushes and colors and this is what you get :)

Wonderful perpective depth Baukje. One of these days, I would like to go out west to see some of these for real and then do a few fake Ansel Adams. Anyway, thanks for sharing your interpretation using the media that you've obviously more then mastered. :)

Me too, I'd love to see those in person! I had to google Ansel Adams though, but he has made some great photographs, I'm a fan now :D

Nope, just a landscape (again.. xD) I seriously need to practice something else, but I'm kinda addicted to it :mrgreen:
I used GIMP and my tablet, I wanted to make my first Krita painting at first, but for some reason it's very slow on my laptop.. although I have 12GB work memory and an Intel Core i7.. :hoh

The only thing I can think of is maybe tone down the sky a bit or mesh the colors.

Thank you! I always think of a bright blue sky when thinking about a canyon. But I agree it is maybe a bit too blue :roll:
