Can I ask if you would put the whole story into one post? So that someone can just read through the whole thing in one post? Without having to read all the comments in between? Or is there one and I am just missing it, the first post has a large amount of the story, but there is more mixed in with a bunch of comments. It looks great though mate

Fun update: Red Apples Lie has been translated to Chinese! (Yes I was asked before hand). I cannot read Mandarin myself so I cannot really judge the quality of translation. But it sure looks spiffy:

For some reason, I've only just looked at this thread. (better late than never) Excellent work Griatch. I have a problem with creating characters - they never look the same from frame to frame. You've achieved this really well.

Yes, making characters recognizeable across pages takes some practice. It helps to give them some easily identifiable feature though (like a certain outfit or physical attribute), then the variation can be pretty big and people will still see who's who.

What was in the mug of tea of the girl? Empty? What happened after? :gaah

I enjoyed the story, well presented and good storytelling.
The images are arranged harmoniously with the narration, it is easy to dive in climate.

If my English was better I could translate the story to the Portuguese. So besides English and Chinese, more people could read the story.

I hope for more stories, and best are even longer!

Glad you like it!

The reason I make shorter snippets from a longer story is mainly due to time constraints - it takes a lot of time and work to make a page (at least for me). And making separate snippets also allow me to jump into various aspects without having to explain all that much in between. Finally, the snippet-form is useful in order to train and explore the comic-style (I usually don't do stuff in black&white after all).

The storytelling is probably what I am most interested in testing here, so it's great that you think it works and is easy to read.

There is an answer to what is in her mug, it may come at some point. For now you will just have to decide on your own.

The other snippets are not directly linked (they are also not in chronological order) but they all do hang together in subtle ways - reading them all does say some things about the world this takes place in and about the Unknown Girl. Very little in the WRAL snippets are there without some sort of purpose actually.
