Nice job, Rod. He didn't explain how to do the pixel stretch on the original image though. I already knew how to do that but a beginner gimper wouldn't have a clue.

I used plasma for my "photo" as I didn't want to hunt down a bunch of pictures. I just did one.

I didn't follow the tutorial to the letter you know me. :lol

Great idea to use Plasma.I bet Plasma 2 would work awesome with the gradient setting also.

Windows binary is all i have though - just place it in plug-ins folder, and restart Gimp
It should be found in Filters/Render/Clouds/Plasma 2

I tried it with Plasma2 first and the lines were not as sharp. I like plain old Plasma for this.

Yeah, there is something wrong with plasma2, it lacks smoothness, granularity, etc. Someone proposed to fix it up and make it better on the Registry.

Every time I use plasma2 I have to add noise to make it work half way decent.
