My semester is over, which means it's time to dust off the Wacom and get [GIMP/MyPaint] painting!

Can't say I was inspired by anything in particular. I was going for something totally different, but the colors came out green so I just went with it. I'm pretty pleased with the result, considering it's the first painting I've done in a while.

as everybody here knows, my "interpretations" come out from Gimp-GMIC filters, nothing done manually, I'm not a digital painter (sigh)

@dinasset, what did you do?? That's pretty neat! It seemed to have brought out the textures, which is something I felt the original was lacking a bit of.

I'm very glad you like my "interpretation".
The final result is coming out from many operations performed using different G'MIC filters, complicated to explain, but concerning the aspect you like (the texture) I guess the effect is mainly due to the G'MIC filter "local normalization" .
You may try it: under G'MIC / Details / Local normalization.
