Hi there, you used to be DoomsdayRenderer, right? You won a fan-art contest I did, I recall painting one of your characters in return.
Yes, I have several nicks on other forums, including DoomsdayRenderer, but I think I have been kimppi here always... Otherwise, it was fun contest and it was nice image you did then!

This is a nice, fluent result. I think I've tried Karbon at one point, but Inkscape is my go-to for vector art (MyPaint is not vector, but very good for sketching too). I like the clean-yet-loose lines of this; it's not easy to hint at form with so few lines. Is she based on a reference originally?
Inkscape is far superior to Karbon generally, but Karbon's line tool has really nice feel. I use many tools!
No actual reference, here's link to my pencil sketch if you want to see (big image, I may have to remove it after some weeks):

The only real 'rule' for the RAP is that the artwork is newly made for the RAP - and to have fun. So this fits perfectly! Who are we to judge what a given prompt inspires to anyway (heck last time the prompt was 'a quiet fishing village' and my image had no village to be seen anywhere

Neat way of thinking! I will give this new Gimp thoroughout test, I hope I can show then something...
@oldmangrumpy, great "engraved mysteries"! Nice ideas!
