At first glance it strikes me as very classy looking. If I were to offer any kind of critique, it would be to remove the texture from the gold oval. It looks like you did a great job of making it look metallic but IMO the texture (only on the gold) detracts from the overall image. I like the texture on the red background. It looks like leather. (Probably is)

Beautiful work. I agree with Drac. Try removing the texture from your name as well.

Yes i agree. Removing the texture on the ring will make it look more realistic
Nicely done. :)

I had a leather image in my stash so I had to take a stab at this after seeing your design. Hope you like it.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, but I'm not the only one here who can do metal masterfully. Speaking of metal masters, where the heck is Nixnine? Haven't heard a peep for a long time now.

Alonte - I was just trying to show you the difference without the texture on anything but the background. Speaking of leather backgrounds, I don't have a clue where I got it but I'll dink around and see if I can find it for you.

You might try CG Textures and look under Fabric - Leather. I found a ton of stuff on Deviantart.com. Just type leather textures in the search bar and you can spend hours looking at leather textures.

Here's one that is close.

http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=leather texture&order=9&offset=480#/d4gn75c

Remember you can always change the color or the contrast/brightness.
