BEFORE ADAM (Parameters Pack )

Image

soon in my DA gallery, this is a preview of the cover for gimpchat

and the original raw fractal

Image

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

very proud of it because is my first 3D fractal that is not a tweak

I was tempted to add a huge Dragon or Dinosaur, but scaled down to make it barely visible (my favorite trick to enhance the sensation of proportion ) but then would be no more a raw fractal

Well there is my standard postwork : render 3x bigger (4800x3600 for a 1600x1200 wallpaper ) , apply a bit less of 2 px gaussian blur (here 1.8), scale down, apply unsharpmask 2 with soft setting (unsharp2 because allow to sharpen by adding a dark halo, that look much more natural and unobtrusive than the white halo of normal unsharp mask..gmic "unsharp is almost equivalent to unsharp mask 2 )

If that's your first render from scratch, it's pretty good. My early efforts with M3D were dreadful!

well is the 7th but i did all 7 in a row yesterday night, this was the last

and i believe the other are not too bad ,only here not only i found the way to focus on the objects i like more but also to get rid of unwanted things in the BG , without make fade the objects i want focus on

well i could have removed them with gimp but i badly wanted do it in the raw fractal

You found some great shapes there. I find it difficult working from scratch with an amazing box. I tended to use ABoxVaryScale or one of the Quat formulas as they gave me an initial shape to work with.
