Expanding on a theme of low angle shots taken of grasses and flowers growing toward the sky. Enhanced in G'mic with either Photoillustration or Black & White Pencil Filter set to Value Mode.

Very beautiful Charlie, I love the echanasia at the top, (also known as cone flowers) I used to have lots of them at our last house, had them also in white.

Molly,
Thanks, and thank you for the identity of the first set of flowers. I had no clue what they were, only knew they were pretty.

The first one is very nice, your processing really emphasizes the texture of petals and leaves. The next two are less convincing. In the middle picture the plant seems t have a transparent sheath. Is that an effect of the processing?

ofnuts,
The only processing I did with the second and third pictures was to use the G'mic Photoillustration filter, which as far as I can tell only adds contrast and a little sharpening.

(edit) Here's the original photo with no processing.

interesting that looking at the pics makes me feel like I'm mouse sized! Like Sniffles, anyone remember the comic book Mary Jane and Sniffles?
