Used Knot (see this thread entry) and Sculpture Generator (see this thread) to concoct this render after I created a seamless texture out of the Knot output (lot's of work; not so accurate but good enough). Had the epiphany to overlay varying tile sizes from Sculpture Generator to create a backplane (more 3D imo) and blended it all together in GIMP of course.

That's excellent Lyle. Reminds me of some of the more complex Mandelbulb work I've seen.

Thanks for the feedback Erisian. Yeah, I do like to make excuses to take Sculpture Generator out for a spin from time to time.
