thanks PhotoComix ! :)

as people may have guessed, i made the text with layerfx
it looks good now but tbh thats because i tuned the effects a lot later

the text consists mostly of an inner and an outer bevel with the contour on sawtooth (i think)
you get a lot of artifacts at the edges, which i had to mask

the outer glow didnt work at all for me with layerfx, so i made it manually

the diagonal stripes are a pattern i made myself

the fine texture everywhere is a pattern pack called 'scanlines' that i use all the time and is my favorite pattern, because it gives everything a nice edge

the grunge is simply a paper texture i found on some texture-site

esper :luvstruck beautiful :luvstruck work!!! i really like how the glow dissolves into sparks, it looks a little bit glittery :). and of course i like how you used photo comix patterns - i'm a big fan of those too, they have an amazing depth of detail, which is something you rarely get with perfectly symmetrical patterns.

thank you AnMal, im always looking forward to your comments, you always have something interesting to say

the "glitter" is of course the blur on 'Dissolve' and i agree about what you said about the depth
also, in this case, i think PhotoComix patterns have a touch of H.R.Giger's artwork but i didnt go in that direction with my work

you're probably right about the touch of giger, but i sure hope it's just an accident! i've seen enough giger-influenced work for a lifetime and i hope pc won't start dumping gigantic anthropomorphic cockroaches or robot mantises on us or something :).

:rofl
yeah Giger is more the freudian type, while PM seems to make his art from a psychedelic direction
