a paisley of course

i don't have a single idea for my sister's birthday card, so instead i "waste" my time making paisleys. this one got hit by the rodilius filter and the result was really nice. i also multi-replicated it and made a seamless pattern.

I really like the simplicity and colours. Maybe you could release a whole range of paisley greeting cards

Gorgeous use of colour and I particularly like the pattern. The rodilius filter works really well on this.

The flowers are of course from the multi-replicate tool, i love playing with that one.

! there really isn't anything there to write a tutorial on. it's a paisley made by putting a layermask on a really lovely picture of some spilt oil drops - they get fantastic colours and reflect a lot of light, that made the paisley both colourful and with nice natural highlights. i then ran the rodilius filter on the paisley and tried some layermodes on the rodilius layer, settling for one of my favourite combos: one overlay layer, then one normal layer both with opacity turned down a bit.

I'll admit something rather shameful: i always get help printing so i know very little about it. i use 300ppi resolution, though, and i change paper after need and occasion. for my fake watercolour with the butterfly on it i will use aquarelle paper but if i have brughter colours i will use glossy paper - or matte, pearly paper, that's one of my favourites, nearly everything looks good on that.

I like the colors on these a lot. Very vibrant. I think a birthday card from the second image with the flowers would look lovely.
