and liked it very much, but the cover was crap so I tried to make my own:


I know the border is ugly but It became very hard to see on the device if I tried to make it look better.

IMHO... the boarder is the best part of you book cover.
Your font is also very pixelated and needs some work.
I can't seem to find any better of an example for this book cover anywhere.

The art is nice but I can't tell much at all about the book itself, which is a significant shortfall. My wife is a librarian and she would tell you that they very much do judge a book by its cover. She wrote a guest post about this over here that might provide some insight into the marketing aspects of a book cover.

I found what looks like the original cover on Google, and it seems a bit more effective in terms of describing the book's content. If I had to guess what it was about from your cover, I'd think it was math related (calculus, limits, etc.)

Ya I guess it is not that descriptive. I had tried to add a lot of things like some source code for the background with a tunnel but they always ended up being invisible on the kindle. All I could do was add a grid of some sort and some deliberately pixellated stuff to make it look hacker-y.
TBH I don't understand the meaning of the book's name or what it is trying to reference even though I read it completely. I just thought it might look cool if represented that way, which is what started the creation of the cover.
