Used Difference Transformation followed by Make Squiggley to create the block outlines. Used Skeleton to squeeze the lines and Blend (Shape Average) {located under testing in my name; preset that David saved for me} to colorize the blocks. Used Local Orientation to create the relief and yes, a few nuanced steps to get it to look like I wanted to. Still, cool that this mosaic like pattern can be created using G'MIC.
