Made using Gimp and GAP. The flying wings are made using Map Object using Apply Filter on Layer(s) under GAP's Frames Modify function.

The basic concept can be used to give flapping wings to many things, like butterflies, dragon flies, bees, at Christmas time they could be used for Angel Wings flapping. Lots of possibilities with this base concept, which is not real difficult to apply.
