Those are really cool, Space! I love them. A tutorial would be nice however Blender :gaah intimidated me to the point that I uninstalled it.

Very cool. Love space art. Some cool textures for planets can be found at the link below by the way. :)

thank you... :clap
and here is couple free 3D programs(i think they are good add for 2d art)
So I find two free 3D modeling program:Blender 2.54 beta and Bryce 7 Personal Learning Edition.
And yes both are free software :)
And here is short story from both applications:First Bryce 7 PLE
It is quite big install file 250mb and bigger manual-over 1300 pages. User interface is very simple and I think, that user interface is easier to use. Tutorials: you can find them from youtube.com And here is some links for Bryce:
to dowload http://www.daz3d.com/i/software/bryce7/download
tutorials/ help http://www.youtube.com/user/WWWDAZ3DCOM

And that Blender v2.49b(stable),v2.54beta. So it is true:interface is more complicated to learn, but when you learn it,your work flow is faster..
Tutorials/support-it is very massive. You can find tons of videos, books, forums etc.And here is some links for Blender:

I have Blender 2.49b and have been trying to follow some tutorials online and it just doesn't work as the tutorial says. The shortcuts outlined in the tutorials don't work. I'm tempted to get the newer version, but the one I have is so frustrating, I'm not sure I want to take the effort to look for and download a newer version. I'm kind of aggrivated with another software issue, but that's not related.
