Pentagonia plants are very rare, they grow mostly in the shadows of forgotten ruins .
Pentagonia have a symbiotic relation with Gryphons, the spores live in the Gryphon intestine where help to metabolize the nutrients .
and are essential in the Gryphon reproductive process :
In the Gryphon intestine layers of Patagonia spores adhere to the Eggs , once the Eggs are released the spores evolved in plant, more exactly in a sort of of lichen that grows and expand around the Egg , protecting the Eggs from most of predators
(Pentagonia plants if attacked may spray gigantic clouds of very toxic gas, direct with stunning precision powerful streams of corrosive acid , create and even expel sharp poisonous thorns launching them as arrows , and ... if touched without the deserved respect, gives usually lethal electric shocks )
When the calcium of its shell is absorbed also the Gryphon embryo is mature
Then Pentagonia create a opening to facilitate the Embryo exit, and produce some delicious and highly alcoholic nectar used to celebrate the Embryo Nativity Party, a party that may last several days
Just after the Nativity Party starts the Farewell Fly party that culminate and end with the Gryphon flying away .
Obviously the nectar offered is not only delicious and very nutrient but contain also gazillions of Pentagonia spores ,that will install in the Gryphon intestine preserving the Cycle

...and yes also this time for background i used one of my manipulation of painting from the Rijskmuseum
