OMG, I agree with Issabella, your combo brush is most unusual and the mandalas beautiful.

We've had lace and doily mandalas before but have we had a knitted one yet :hehe

And since I recently purchased the lastest version of DAP (full price since my old version was several generations old not to mention installed on another PC), why not turn the floral into marbles. lol

Thanks for your comment on my knitting Lyle. I like your flowers. The marbles are cool, they have lovely colours but what's DAP?

Keeping up the wood theme, here is one that slightly stretches the thread title. Yes I made a brush and used it for most of the mandala, but then I filled the spaces with BRL combining wood and glass.

DAP is Dynamic Auto Painter, teapot. It's based on a very old project called Arcimbolder. Arcimbolder was purchased by Mediachance and the rest is history. It's one of my favorite tools outside of GIMP.

Nobody can know everything possible in Gimp; that is what makes continual experimenting so much fun. For example this simple brush provided this mandala in about 5 minutes thanks to Gimp's different layer modes :yes

Back in harness now, so here are 2 mandalas, one using a blue diamond brush previously posted and one using my angel wing brush.

I agree with Issabella, they are both really beautiful. Lovely delicate shading and feathery texture on your angel wing brush and the shapes on the blue mandala are cool.
