I've loaded a set of portraits and used the filter with the posterize option comic book.
7 out of the series gave a pleasant outcome (at least to my eyes).

As you could see, that option did not cause unpleasant textures on the faces.
That's the reason why it is the default in the launching panel.

For other types of images, i like better other poster process, like Gimp posterize for instance.

The users who downloaded the filter can try among the proposed poster processes and choose the most appropriate.

Using two images, just posted on Deviant Art.

First one: flowers by Simonalora.

Second one: mountains by Sergiba.

Now a carousel of people images (not portraits), experimenting all posterize types.
One warning: do not use cartoon for highly texturized source images, no matter the number of colors you use.
Many source images appear again (I posted them in previous posts), but with different parameters.
Each posterixe type has been used in this show.
