Thank you Griatch. I will certainly give it a try when I hook my tablet back up. It crashed on me every time I went from mouse to pen and it made me cross so I packed it up almost two years ago now.

Thanks Eris, yes I used a mouse but I am having a heck of a time with your nose.

I put some hair on her, obviously, I don't do well on hair, haven't a clue how.

That's really good Molly. This is my first MyPaint attempt. I'm afraid I have difficulty with the pencil tool and the paint tool in eraser mode erases a larger area than the cursor circle. Think I'll be sticking to Gimp. Hair is a problem for me too Mo.

@Erisian: that's annoying for me too, I have to keep making smaller and smaller...:S
But I'm used to inconveniences in life..I'll get over it eventually. :lol

Thank you Griatch...I will think about re-installing my tablet. I am looking for a different desk first so I have more room for those things. This is a little first try thang.

I was playing with different brushes to see what they do!

Image

The flower is the watercolor brush; The rock with a butterfly is a mix of brushes but the ground I used the texture brushes and the marker to shade; The heart was just me practicing making something with two different colors that match up to make a shape, the eye was just a test like the rest, and the face just to play with the inking pen brush...Was fun! I think I'm having a lot of fun just making random things on a page...I get some of my best ideas doing that. One drawing I've done was originally a little doodle then I redrew in to something bigger and better...! You might see something here in the future just because I enjoy to redraw small concepts in to a full concept! :D

Edit: Omd! I uploaded the big one...NO WONDER TOOK AN HOUR TO UPLOAD! T.T

mokonafan: looking at your small test pictures was actually very instructive :). once we get mypaint installed on the computers at work i will have to start practising with mypaint for real, so i can teach it to others.
