Granted I am late to the show here, but that Mona Lisa is fabulous. To bad about the necessity of the whole copyright thing, it detracts from the experience. But I understand the need. ( which is just as sad .. )

I like the face of Mona Lisa too. I have one piece of feedback and that is the coloration of the image though: there is a discrepancy in saturation between her cloth and her face. Notably, her clothes seem desaturated compared to the stark shadows of her face - this causes the face to appear distinct from her clothes. To me it feels almost like the two were made separately and then joined together without balancing the colors. It might be worth to try an auto-balancing filter on image to see if that will balance the two components, but overall I feel her robes need darker darks to match the face. Just my opinion, obviously, it's a well done image overall.

Thanks for the critique. All taken into account.

My primary focus with the Mona Lisa was getting the likeness with the face right, because it's one of few human portraits I tend to keep falling flat on. This is the best likeness I've managed to date. I admittedly phoned it in with a lot with the paint job, including resorting to the cowardly soft airbrush quite a few times. The background was pretty much speed-painted in there.

Even more admittedly, I know next to nothing about colour theory of how they work in portraits, so this'll help a lot. I definitely will revise it with all this in mind. Thanks again.

I've always been a big fan of the tight-arsed (but adorable) duck and his philosophies.

Here's my latest artwork: The Angry Video Game Nerd. I'm a big fan of his work. This is an Evil Dead & Maniac Mansion crossover. Maniac Mansion is an 8 & 16 bit point and click graphical adventure game. I don't think they make those anymore, (i.e. commercially). Added a bit of a Halloween theme in there too.
