Issabella and Dalia - thank you fo your nice words.

I am still trying out new approaches with chisel/carve and I thought if Celtic knots work with glass then why not wood too ...

Great work omg and Issabella! I have to make sure and ask... what are we using here? Alpha Shine or Chisel/Carve or both?

Thank you Issabella. Love the result, the perspective and the shadow - very nicely done.

Dalia - I am using 'chisel/carve' exclusively in this thread, but its up to other individuals to decide what they wish to use.

Each step I take with my GIMP threads is just part of a learning curve, sometimes on the level but often very steep :)

2-ton what made you think of that?! I still think she's beautiful even with her wooden attire. :hehe

Pat, so good to see your work. Absolutly love that kitten; it's perfect!

Dalia, the idea came from the new internet rage of turning the Queen's 'green screen' outfit into all sorts of other things. I don't know how to do 'green screen' so I just did wood. I also did clear gem but I liked the wood better.

2-ton, I think it's great. I did see the Queen in her "neon" green outfit on the news. :hehe

2-ton - I love the idea of a wooden Queen ... :hehe

Pat625
- once again your minimalist approach is all that is needed to get the message through ... well done again.

So I have adopted such minimalism; basically just carved circles ...

OMG: Thank you. I am striving to do more complicated images. You do so many things, all of them amazing.

Issabella - nice one that; looks like we are both looking at alternative methods to carve wood ...

Issabella: I like your outcome. Very nice. The birds show up very nicely with your background.
I like yours also, OMG. Was this done with all Chisel and carve?
