The filter allows to choose the tile size (and tie regularity) between predefined extremes.
Sometimes you have to try.

Here the same image in 3 different outcomes:
- using defaults (no preproc nor postproc options used)

Apart from the tiles definition, the outcome is affected:

- by the choice of the marble pattern (always)
- by the optional choice of a preprocessing step
- by the optional choice of a post processing step
