I created this for my granddaughter as a birthday gift. I am not sure if I should add a rainbow.

Jeanniem, you created a wonderful card with plenty of details. It's sure that your lovely granddaughter will get very happy. In my opinion it's perfect how it is. But if you want to add a rainbow will be very colourful and children love everything in plenty of colours. Anyway try it in other layer and compare the result. :paint

Very nice Jeanniem. It is a lovely scene.

I was just thinking about doing one for my grandson who will be 16 in May.

Very cute card jeanniem, I am sure your grandson will love it and I think Isabella's idea of the rainbow is great too, with a pot of gold at the end. It could be very feint so it won't interfere with the rest of the message.

Yes, reverse light, the shadows go towards the sun :)

"SERENITY" is also lacking a shadow. It would help setting its position (without a shadow, it's hard to tell if it is at ground level or floating slightly closer to us).

Yeah, like the others said, shadows. it would be easiest to add some soft shadowing under the animals and text, not longer harsh shadows like you've got, that way you don't have to change the background. Rainbow would be awesome. :)
