Enchanted woods (W.I.P.) FINISHED

People seem to like seeing how paintings unfold so I thought I would do a Work In Progress. I'm not very good at environment so I rely a lot on Shock's GPS brushes and in this case I have used Gimp Painter as well.

The first thing I have done is played with some nearly random texture then added some basic tree shapes.

I've added some more trees and darkened everything with a fuzzy brush and added some shadows.

The basic colours are added on overlay layers

There's more to come - keep tuning in! :mrgreen:

Thank you 2-ton. I've enjoyed drawing and painting since I was a child so I've always done it.

I like the colors on it now Eris. I think you should put mushrooms and fairies in that bright spot. They should have a party.

I made a start on the fairy, painting her in the light colour on a new layer. I will probably shrink her later and she will need some arms, some adjustments and a little detail.

She seems faded on the bottom or maybe that's a dress, either way I like it a lot so far!

The fading is deliberate. It serves two purposes: 1. It's a nice effect and 2. It saves me having to paint feet! :hehe
