hey guys. i play a football game on a web site that i found about six months ago. Sometimes i make team logo's for other players on there. The other day the guy who runs the California college football team has asked me to make them a logo. well i guess i'm having a block or something cause i can't think of what to do. the images has to be 150 by 150 pixels and a transparent background. yea i know small right? but anyways i thought maybe you guys could help me out. i would like to see you guys give it a try and make a logo for this guys team. i promised him i would make him one. he wants one really cool. I'm good with gimp but am having trouble coming up with a team logo for this guy. I guess you could say the options for what you can do is wide open. as long as it looks good at 150 X 150 pixels and no background. and if you don't know about football, the team's real mascot is the golden bears. thanks guys. can't wait to see what others come up with.

do they have team colors? Obviously you can make a bear with black or brown outlines and gold colored in. At that size, it's going to have to be simple without a lot of detail.

Anyway, here's a little something I wiped up.

Give this a try.
1. Isolated a bear headshot, Crop in half.
2. Layer | Duplicate, Transform | Flip Horizontally.
3. Image | Canvas size (double width).
3. Use Alignment tool, Merge layers.
3. Colors | Threshold (play around a bit).
3a. Optional, Colors | Inverse.
4. Select by either color | Clear.
