I like the concepts you come up with Conbagui and I like to try them out too. But it is summer not winter that is coming 'downunder' (39 Celsius tomorrrow!) and the 'wet' season coming for those up north.

So I tried a similar surreal approach for this part of the world. I love the 'jabiru', one of the wetland birds so I featured it in this picture.

Unfortunately I still have a lot to learn on 'photo manipulation techiques' but time is on my side. Well I thought so, but I have just seen your 'awesome wildlife' image, so off I go again ... with haste.

I have used the forest and the moon
Stars - clouds - frozen water - and Santa Claus, I did myself
i put the card on my desk
on my computer,you see the gimp screen

here I have also add some snow

OK Conbagui, I'm having another try and attempting to instill a liitle bit of surreal winter/Xmas from downunder. For many years there has been a famous song arround called 'six white boomers' (kangaroos) who pulled Santa's sleigh across Australia. The very famous entertainer who wrote it is now in jail for child assault!!

However, there we were on Xmas Eve looking at a card featuring the 6 white boomers flying across Central Australia ...

Then a while later, after a few drinks, we looked again and they had landed in the sand and rocks ...
