I've read on a few different forums and such about how to change the color of the paintbrush-but-that is not my problem. I understand how to change the colors and details of the brush. However, no matter what color I change the foreground/background color to, it always shows up red or a shade of pink. But the foreground color that it shows I am painting in will be a blue or other color. I have made sure that I'm in RGB. I'm lost. Please help me out!

Make sure Dynamics is set to Dynamics Off, or not on a color setting.

The brush you are using, is it a colored brush?

Is the image color-indexed (loaded from a GIF....)? If so make it full-RGB (Image>Mode>RGB)
