some fractals

with erisian in the house i have a chance of finally learning more about fractal software. the first image here is the outcome of something i did in tierazon, the second image is the same fractal after some time of judicious gimping and g'micing. notice that the second one is pink and fluffy, just like a fractal should be :hehe

I had a lot of fun with TieraZon way back when. Then I found my true love. The name "Fractal Explorer" has been used for more than one program. The one I use hasn't been maintained for many years and its website recently vanished. But I am still exploring with it. I specialized in finding certain patterns for a while, and discovered whole universes of tiled floors. I particularly love those made of wood and inlaid with malachite and turquoise:

I have found a download link for the old FE if anyone is interested. It runs fine in almost any version of Windows, though you can't create your own formulas in anything beyond XP. Oh well, that's what old computers and virtual machines are for.

maybe you should perspective it so it looks like a real floor

matera: wow!!! that's a really nice tiled floor - i can very well picture a palace with a malachite and turquoise inlaid floor like that. i'm still trying to learn my way around with tierazon, but i have bookmarked your link for the future.

Very nice Fractals! I think the very first time I used fractal explorer, I put a lightning streak through a photo. Looked good too. Not made anything as cool as you all yet.

The future is very uncertain for eldery software. Might be better to download it and stash it.

Nice fractals everyone. It has been a real inspiration working next to AnMal. She is so talented. Here are a few of my fractals made in Tierazon and layered in Gimp.
