Thought I would render something a bit more painterly this time. Felt like doing a chiaroscuro so I did. :)

Thanks Tran; thanks Dalia. Don't do enough painterly renders like I use too (and hardly ever had here). :)

As opposed to a woodcut, or object based render. Watercolors, oils, etc. are painterly renders (at least to my mind's eye). :)

To me, painterly render would simply mean a result that looks painted.

Nice work lylejk! It feels like airbrush artwork to me rather than traditional "painting". You could make some very cool renditions of the xenomorphs from Alien using this technique I imagine (H.R. Giger was primarily an airbrush artist).

Was going for the glow feel and it does remind me of the glow that Giger was able to do (of course this subject is far from what he does; lol), Griatch. Yeah; more of an illustration type of painting but still a painterly result unlike say my lightning or packing binges. lol

:)

Definitly appreciate the comments, but you are wrong. Your art is both a heck of a lot better and from your own hand. I'm just a faker. :)
