Sometimes it must rain!! Right now as I write this, with thunder! So, my son's large Siberian Husky is crowding my feet to get under the desk! I think it hurts his ears. He starts to prance and get under your legs before we can hear it. He is a good predictor of thunder.

almost the same happened to my dog
he used also to jump into the bath-tub to feel himself more "protected", but then he was no more able to come out....
