Kimba - thank you for the heads up on geometric tiling - I have become totally fascinated with this subject, it's never too late to learn so I have done some quick research. Now I wish they had allowed me at grammar school to combine art and geometry subjects (we had to choose Art or Science streams!!).

Whatever, I thought that, rather than posting images in the scripts/plugins thread, I should open a new thread in the GIMP Art forum. So here are some starters -

Apparently there are rules which govern the way such tiles should be used/combined - but right now I am just having fun; rules can come later :)

Well Rod did say to keep them coming and when you are on a binge (as Lyle puts it!), keeping them coming is not difficult -

This is an interesting journey - made a set of paths from the Girih tiles, then arranged those paths into a pattern, which I then used to render two different images -

:hehe could not resist a glass option from these tiled patterns

Yes OMG I have been playing with Girih and Penrose but haven't done a complete project yet. I have also been sidetracked by Rashids Box tiling. I have been doing them in Inkscape rather than Gimp.
