Here the new tool I didn't know or used previously. I find this one quite a lot interesting about its results.

Nice results, Issabella. I toyed with c2g a few years back but wasn't happy with how it handled sky areas.

To answer Racer, it's located under Tools>GEGL Operations.

Also, experimenting with layer modes one can get other looks.
