Taking Ofnut's advice and finding inspiration from JosephBupe's apple, I've been toying with creating apple skin texture for text, using only GIMP.

Feel free to join in with your own variation if you want, but please, don't use real apple textures. Where's the fun in that?

As soon as I am totally happy with my texture, I'll wrap it around G'MIC's 3D Lathe of something more apple shaped. Should make for some interesting (I hope). Thanks for all the nice comments and the inspiration.

I think you should add a bruise.

It does look sweet though Mahvin very nice typography.
