First of all thanks a lot again to Nidhogg, he opened a "world" of possibilities with his tutorial using G'mic Engrave.
During my many "variations on the theme", I got results which look like if Van Gogh would have been the engraver.
Hence I decided to start from those results, add some steps, then "fix" in a filter the methodology.
I asked my friend Issabella to test it in order to verify whether it meets the objective.
Results were positive, so I open this thread were to post some outcomes (and Issabella too, of course !!!).
Comments and critics are welcome.

I want to say that, once loaded into Gimp the saved D.A. images and created the corresponding outcomes, I didn't make a selection to choose only the best ones.
Only played with some little modification on layer modes and opacity, to improve the result, where I thought it was not as I preferred to see.
This is true also for all next outcomes I will post.
I'm waiting on Issa's results, because -I'm sure- her results will be much more interesting.

I saw just at the very start that the results were superb.

@Dinasset I like this, when the color palette is brighter the first jenyvess is good. And the last, vivid birdwallpaper you used earlier.
In washerwomen I enjoy that it's hard to find the women, they must be ghosts.

Issabella all your manipulations are stunning...again I like images that have trees and sky.

My preference goes to the 3 (#7), although for the image of the sanctuary, in the sky, the white gives an impression too hard (in my opinion )
